Paint a white sailboat without using white paint. Participants will learn about negative painting and experiment with painting water with an emphasis on color variation, reflections and creating a sense of movement.
Marty Kutas is a Western New York painter in transparent watercolor. A signature member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society (NFWS), she has exhibited in numerous shows and summer art festivals since 1998. Marty’s formal training was in math education, but she enjoyed painting and drawing all her life. These seemingly opposite interests blend together in a style that emphasizes balance, perspective and detail.
“I paint to interpret the beauty that I see in the world. I especially like to express my love of flowers, nature, classic architecture and ordinary people enjoying life. “
